Would you like to join our virtual Patient Participation Group? The aim of the group is to seek views from registered patients, about the range and quality of services which we provide. We’d like the group to be as representative of our practice population as possible—a wide age range for example, different social, employment and ethnic backgrounds.

**** WALKING GROUP ****
We have a Walking Group, which meets every Thursday at 11am at Kiddrow Lane Health Centre. The walk lasts for one hour and is free. Please bring any medication you require, along with a drink and wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear. Walking timetable in Tuesday's Burnley Express. **** GP APPOINTMENTS ****
You are now able to book some GP appointments using our telephone system. The system will usually be available between 8 and 11am on weekday mornings not including public holidays. As usual we would encourage patients to ring on the morning they want to come and to attend morning surgery wherever possible. Some appointments are available to book in advance and patients should speak to reception or register for EMIS Access (details below) to take advantage of these slots.

Please call in at reception, in person (only available for those aged 16 and over) to register. This will enable you to BOOK DOCTORS APPOINTMENTS ONLINE, and ORDER REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS ONLINE.
Please note, there are only a selection of appointments available for booking online, please telephone reception if these do not suit. Only repeat prescriptions are available to order online, you will need to speak to a receptionist for other requests.

**** PATIENT TEXT REMINDERS ****
Our clinical system is now set up to send SMS text reminders to patients for their appointments. Please ensure that we have an up to date mobile telephone number on our records. Please notify reception if you wish to opt out of this service.

**** EXTENDED OPENING ****
From 1st September 2008, we will have extra GP surgeries from 630 - 700pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The appointments are for patients who struggle to attend during the day and can be booked in advance. Please speak to reception if you would like to make an appointment during this time.
